9L orthotopic tumors were established and treated with two different therapeutic regimens of BCNU. Using diffusion MRI, we were able to demonstrate the sensitivity of this technique to quantitatively measure tumor response and also the emergence of drug resistance due to therapy. This study highlights the ability of diffusion MRI to provide real-time assessment of therapy-induced response for allowing early opportunities to optimize therapeutic protocols.
