Synopsis:Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a sensitive imaging technique to investigate white matter integrity and orientation. In this work, we performed group comparisons of principal direction of the white matter, derived from DTI, on subjects with and without attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The preliminary results showed three regions in the frontal lobe and the striatal area with significant fiber orientational difference with p value less than 0.001. The findings of this work may provide insights in the relationship between white matter fiber orientation and cognition and behavior in humans.
