Contrast enhanced myocardial perfusion imaging allows for the quantitation of regional blood flow and distribution volume, Vd. The magnitude and spatial distribution of Vd may provide additional information to complement delayed enhancement imaging that can assist clinicians in tracking the progress and impacting the therapeutic strategies of various disease states. Here we present a novel dual-bolus imaging method that may provide a means to more accurately quantitate the late kinetics of tissue enhancement and regional Vd in the myocardium.
