In DCE-MRI studies, accurate estimation of pharmacokinetic model parameters requires B 1 -corrected T 1 values. However, it is not trivial to measure B 1 and T 1 accurately in addition to the long scan time. In this study, we proposed a novel approach, namely active contrast encoding (ACE) MRI, to measure both B 1 and T 1 values along with kinetic parameters from a single DCE-MRI data. A proof-of-concept study was conducted to demonstrate the proposed method using numerical simulations and an in vivo mouse study, and to show that ACE-MRI can eliminate the need to have separate B 1 and T 1 mapping procedures.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
