Field changes due to respiratory motion disturb
T2*-weighted imaging not only in 2D acquisition but also
in 3D. Due to the inherent averaging of 3D scans,
artifacts were not as pronounced as in 2D in the upper
parts of the brain but manifested as a general blurring
of the image. However, 3D T2*-weighted scans showed
strong ringing artifacts around cavities as well as
intensity modulations in the cerebellum. By using
real-time field feedback breathing induced
spatiotemporal field changes could be corrected and the
observed artifacts were strongly reduced.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
