This work presents high resolution metabolic maps of the brain at 7T acquired in four slices, using pulse-cascaded Hadamard Spectroscopic Imaging (HSI) and 2D-GRAPPA acceleration. HSI increases SNR compared to multi-slice acquisition, overcomes point-spread function problems and enables the measurement of few slices with high in-plane resolution (6464) while short acquisition delays maximize SNR and avoids J-coupling effects. In plane GRAPPA acceleration by a factor of 6 (i.e., 3x2) allows a measurement time of 20 min while retaining enough SNR for metabolite quantification. Volunteer measurements show good comparability to the corresponding anatomical images.
