Prostate Cancer Detection of Multifocal Tumors on 3T Multi-Parametric MR Imaging: Correlation with Histopathology

Our findings have implications for emerging focal
therapy of prostate cancers. A large proportion of
secondary tumors and a small proportion of index lesions
will not be detected by MR imaging. The results
underscore the need for close follow up post therapy.
