The MPRAGE pulse sequence is commonly used for T 1 -weighted imaging. Previous work showed that the relative signal intensity of blood in MPRAGE is dominated by the IR pulse, and by controlling the selectivity of this pulse across multiple measurements one could generate a subtraction MR angiogram (MRA) in addition to a standard T 1 MPRAGE. However, such a subtraction technique is sensitive to motion between the multiple measurements, limiting its applicability. Here we address this shortcoming with the addition of volumetric navigators for prospective motion correction, enabling simultaneous MPRAGE and non-contrast MRA even in the presence of subject motion.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
