To quantify diffusion and perfusion characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with both IVIM and DCE MRI, and to evaluate the correlation between the resulting parameters. 35 patients with cirrhosis and HCCs underwent IVIM and DCE-MRI scans. DCE-MRI parameters (Ktrans, kep, ve and vp) and IVIM parameters (D,D* and f) were obtained. The correlation between IVIM-DWI and DCE-MRI parameters of HCCs, and differences of IVIM-DWI parameters between liver parenchyma and HCCs were analyzed Paired-Samples T Test or Wilcoxon Test. The results demonstrated vp was inversely correlated with D in HCCs, and HCCs showed significantly lower ADC, D, f and D* values compared to liver parenchyma (P0.001). IVIM-DWI provides parameters that are significantly different in HCC compared to liver parenchyma.
