Synopsis

Keywords: AI/ML Software, MR Value

Motivation: Increase MRI scanning capacity using AI enabled MR Reconstruction at a linked community diagnostic centre and trauma centre due to increasing demand and patient backlogs.

Goal(s): Reduce scanning times for MSK scans, and increasing the number of patients scanned a day.

Approach: A QI programme was initiated using the Model For Improvement.

Results: Combined between the two sites, 6 extra patients per day are being scanned, these were at the CDC, reduction in times at the trauma centre have not yet led to increased capacity. This is being investigated.

Impact: MRI referrals are rising exponentially, necessitating increasing MRI capacity. This work outlines a QI strategy that can increase capacity using AI and existing infrastructure.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
