Motivation: Hyperpolarized 129Xe gas-exchange imaging techniques are not yet standardized across sites.
Goal(s): To determine whether 1-Point Dixon, ME IDEAL, and CSI produce equivalent results.
Approach: Hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI gas-exchange was measured in eight healthy participants using the 1-Point Dixon technique, and compared with either ME IDEAL or CSI, based on random assignment, in the same participant.
Results: There was overall agreement between 1-Point Dixon and ME IDEAL and CSI with both global and regional measures of 129Xe gas-exchange. However, some histogram shape metrics significantly differed.
Impact: These results on a small cohort of participants provide preliminary support for equivalence between 1-Point Dixon, ME IDEAL, and CSI methods in the same healthy participant. This work shows promise for the standardization of hyperpolarized 129Xe gas-exchange imaging measures.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
