Synopsis

Keywords: Low-Field MRI, Low-Field MRI, RF array

Motivation: Accelerate wrist imaging on low field point of care MRI.

Goal(s): Introducing a solenoidal phased array coil to reduce scan time with compressed sensing.

Approach: Using electrical and geometrical decoupling methods to create three inherently decoupled solenoidal phased array and accelerating scan by using compressed sensing.

Results: Inter-element coupling, and S-parameters for each of the three individual Rx coils and the transmit coil under loaded conditions were lower than -25 dB. A 3x compressed sensing acceleration produced results comparable to fully sampled k-space.

Impact: This method of decoupling can make the application of solenoidal phase array possible for wrist imaging accelerate by factor 3 which is very important in point of care MRI systems.
