Motivation: At present, there are many imaging analysis methods to assess cerebral glymphatic function, but the reliability of these methods remains controversial.
Goal(s): This study aims to compare the feasibility of different imaging indicators of glymphatic function in patients with hematological diseases.
Approach: Multimodal neuroimaging (including DTI-ALPS, BOLD-CSF coupling, and choroid plexus volume) and laboratory biomarkers were used to evaluate glymphatic function in patients with hematological diseases.
Results: DTI-ALPS index and choroid plexus (CP) volume were significantly influenced by age, while BOLD-CSF coupling showed minimal correlation with age and a positive correlation with hemoglobin (Hb) levels.
Impact: Imaging methods for evaluating glymphatic function should be selected carefully, with special consideration of age-related influences on DTI-ALPS index and CP volume, particularly when samples involve a wide age range.
