Motivation: Our motivation is to investigate procedures typically done with radiography, and see how moving into low field Interventional MRI could advance procedure success and ease on a 0.55T Free.Max.
Goal(s): Our aim is to demonstrate the ability to navigate renal vasculature selectively, visualize soft tissue perfusion, deploy a commercially available embolization device, and investigate perfusion post embolization.
Approach: Modified Cook interventional devices were implemented in a porcine model. Two Interventional Radiologists navigated to 6 determined locations based upon acquired images.
Results: Quality of imaging was sufficient and devices operated properly in occluding vessels in 6 locations. Perfusion images confirmed occlusion in real time.
Impact: The speed of procedure, as well as visual confirmation in real time, has led us to continue investigating Renal Artery Embolization techniques under MRI guidance. We will also be investigating other procedures that would benefit from real time MRI guidance.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
