Synopsis

Keywords: Neuro, Pediatric, fMRI, Connectome dynamics, Transcriptomic

Motivation: Idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE) is a network disease and also a highly heritable disorder, genetic variations and recurrent seizures may result in network reconfiguration and cognitive impairments.

Goal(s): We aimed to explore the dynamic changes in functional network in IGE children and the relationship with cognitive impairment and gene expression profiles.

Approach: We use the resting-state functional MRI data to constructed time-varying multi-layer network, the dynamic network remodeling in IGE was correlated with Allen Human Brain Atlas to identify relative gene sets.

Results: We reported disrupted dynamic functional connectivity in children with IGE and its correlation with cognitive function and gene expression.

Impact: These findings reveals the complex relationship between the dynamic changes of macroscopic modules and genetic pathological mechanisms in IGE patients and improves our comprehension the neurobiological mechanisms that underlie cognitive function.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
