Motivation: To engage with the stakeholders in MRI to find out their opinions of the use of AI in MRI.
Goal(s): To understand the experience of the manufacturer AI MRI reconstruction software implemented clinically and stakeholders’ views on how much patients should be told about the use of AI.
Approach: Questionnaires are being distributed to radiographers, radiologists and physicists across the UK.
Results: There is mixed experience of using the software, with improvements in image quality and throughput, however all stakeholders would like more information published by the manufacturers. There is debate over how much to tell patients about the use of AI.
Impact: Coherent approaches for implementation of the software can be achieved after understanding how different sites have rolled out the software, what worked well alongside the challenges. Recommendations can be provided for how to inform patients of the use of AI.
