Keywords: Joint, Novel Contrast Mechanisms
Motivation: Lower SNR and closer water-fat spectral peaks at low-filed strength (74Hz at 0.5T) pose challenge to generate essential PDFS contrast in knee MRI. Dixon based methods can be used however, they need multiple MRI images increasing the scan time.
Goal(s): Single image knee PDw water image at low field strength.
Approach: Knee PD-FSE with shifted echo time MRI image has water and fat signal distributed in complex plane with spatially smooth field inhomogeneity. AI based method was used to solve the ill-posed problem.
Results: Retrospective study over 38 patients showed similar knee PDFS MRI performance between Dixon and proposed method.
Impact: Proposed method can reduce the acquisition time to obtain fat suppressed MRI at low field strength.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
