Synopsis

Keywords: Tumors (Pre-Treatment), Spectroscopy, Quality Assurance

Motivation: 2HG-MRS has potential to non-invasively determine mutational status of brain gliomas if integrated into clinical practice however a clinically accessible acquisition and analysis approach has not been fully established.

Goal(s): Our goal is to assess reproducibility of metabolite measurements, including 2HG, in a custom-made phantom scanned across different scanners and sites, using a variety of coils. A secondary goal is to compare the quantification of metabolites using an offline analysis technique versus a vendor analysis software.

Approach: We will perform single-voxel PRESS on a custom-made phantom across multiple scanner and coil combinations. Analysis performed with non-clinical and vendor software will be compared.

Impact: This study will be of interest to those wanting to translate 2HG MRS to the clinic.
