Synopsis

Keywords: Neuroinflammation, DSC & DCE Perfusion

Motivation: BBB disruption is a key pathophysiological mechanism in the development of HSE. Assessing BBB permeability in HSE patients using CE-T2 FLAIR and DCE-MRI can further evaluate disease severity and enhance clinical applicability.

Goal(s): To evaluate the combined value of DCE-MRI quantitative parameters and CE-T2 FLAIR sequence in assessing HSE patients.

Approach: A retrospective study was conducted on 35 HSE patients, all of whom underwent DCE-MRI and CE-T2 FLAIR sequences upon admission.

Results: Quantitative parameters from CE-T2 FLAIR and DCE-MRI showed significant differences between HSE groups. The combined diagnostic model using CE-T2 FLAIR and DCE-MRI parameters demonstrated superior diagnostic performance compared to individual parameters.

Impact: This study indirectly and directly assessed BBB permeability using quantitative parameters from CE-FLAIR and DCE-MRI sequences to evaluate disease severity in HSE patients, providing important clinical insights for early intervention and treatment.
