Keywords: Arterial Spin Labelling, Arterial spin labelling
Motivation: Ultra-high field (UHF) provides improved SNR that benefits velocity-selective arterial spin labeling (VSASL) MRA; however, the sensitivity of VS prepulses to B0 and B1 inhomogeneities may render VS ASL MRA impractical.
Goal(s): This study aims to assess the feasibility of VS ASL MRA for human brain at 5T.
Approach: Double-refocused hyperbolic-secant (DRHS) module, B1-independent rotation (BIR)-4 module, and BIR-8 module based VS ASL MRA were implemented and compared at 5T.
Results: The VS ASL MRA utilizing BIR-4 or BIR-8 modules at 5T had decent image quality, although there exist subtraction errors in static tissues.
Impact: The study suggests that VS ASL MRA at 5T is feasible.
