Synopsis

Keywords: Functional Connectivity, fMRI (resting state), Hypoxia;COPD;Brain

Motivation: Investigate the effects of different hypoxia modes on the brain.

Goal(s): Understand the changes in brain structure, function, and metabolism caused by chronic hypoxia.

Approach: Utilizing high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging and blood oxygen saturation dependent functional techniques to understand brain structure and function.

Results: Both groups of brain motor function areas are affected. In addition, COPD emotional cognitive areas and high-altitude visual function areas are affected.

Impact: For the first time to explore the brain's responsiveness to low oxygen flow under physiological and pathological conditions by fMRI. It provides a reference for elucidating the mechanism of the effect of hypoxia on the human body.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
