Synopsis

Keywords: AI/ML Software, Kidney

Motivation: Abdominal organ volumes are critical MRI biomarkers in many diseases, including autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.

Goal(s): To develop an internet accessible, kidney/liver/cyst volume measurement tool.

Approach: 3D Unet transformer hybrid model internet based calculator for kidney liver and renal cysts uploads DICOM MRimages with automatic anonymization performed in the browser software to ensure HIPAA compliance. External validation: 153 MRIs from another country (coronal T2 fatsat, and T1 breathhold sequences).

Results: TraceOrg demonstrated high Dice, low Average Symmetric Surface Distance, low Hausdorff Distance for kidney, liver and renal cyst segmentation compared to manual expert ground truth segmentation.

Impact: TraceOrg provides accurate and efficient segmentations for measuring kidney liver and renal cyst volumes to enhance radiologist subjective assessments of ADPKD abdominal MRI and is readily accessible via internet.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
