Keywords: Artifacts, Artifacts
Motivation: The 3D spiral in/out trajectory is valuable in numerous applications, including functional MRI, but is susceptible to artifacts when an inaccurate density compensation function (DCF) is employed.
Goal(s): Our objective is to eliminate these artifacts while reducing reconstruction time.
Approach: using iterative reconstruction with k-space pre-conditioner
Results: Image artifact was observed on 3D spiral-in/out trajectory when using inaccurate DCF. The artifact can be successfully removed using iterative reconstruction with significantly decreased iteration number (30 iteration to 10 iteration).
Impact: This advancement is expected to benefit various applications relying on the spiral in/out trajectory, such as real time imaging and functional MRI.
How to access this content:
For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
