Synopsis

Keywords: Myocardium, Cardiovascular

Motivation: Amino acid metabolism and obesity affect cardiac damage; however, the specific mechanism of their effect remains unclear.

Goal(s): We aimed to determine the effects of amino acid values on left ventricular cardiac function by using cardiac magnetic resonance feature tracking.

Approach: We used the b-SSFP cine sequence, CVI42 software, and mediation effect analysis.

Results: Amino acids exerted a partial mediative effect in the development of abnormal left ventricular function in an obese population, with leucine exerting the greatest mediative effect.

Impact: Our findings on the effect of amino acid metabolism and obesity on left ventricular function provide a basis for clinical management and treatment of comorbidities.
