Motivation: Patients with gastric cancer frequently experience irritability and appetite loss, which contributes to their poor cooperation during MRI scans.
Goal(s): This study aims to evaluate the benefits of administering 200 ml of 5% glucose water before the MRI scans in patients with gastric cancer.
Approach: This study included 122 gastric cancer patients. The study group consisted of patients who received 200 ml of 5% glucose water before the MRI scan (n=59), while the control group did not receive this intervention (n=63).
Results: The study group enhanced pre-examination training efficiency, increased the efficiency and success rate of MRI examinations, and improved image quality.
Impact: This strategy aimed to improve both the physical and mental states of the patients, enabling better cooperation during training and MR scans.
