Synopsis

Motivation: The ECV values measured by imaging examination are consistent with the amount of extracellular matrix measured by tissue biopsy.

Goal(s): To investigate the preliminary application value of extracellular volume fraction in rectal cancer.

Approach: A senior radiologist marked the layer of the maximum tumor on T1 mapping native and T1 mapping enhanced images.

Results: The differences of ECV values of positive neuro aggression and negative group ,pT1-2 and pT3-4 tumors were statistically significant. The differences of ECV values of thrombus positive and negative group ,lymph node positive and negative group were statistically significant.

Impact: Extracellular volume fraction has application value in rectal cancer.
