Synopsis

Keywords:

Motivation: study aimed to tackle diagnostic challenges of intramuscular lipomas, emphasizing MRI's crucial role in distinguishing these benign masses from other potentially serious soft tissue conditions.

Goal(s): study aimed to tackle diagnostic challenges of intramuscular lipomas, emphasizing MRI's crucial role in distinguishing these benign masses from other potentially serious soft tissue

Approach: MRI was performed on a Toshiba 1.5 Tesla using chest and spine protocols. T1W, T2W, STIR, and fat saturation sequences enhanced mass visualization, with the patient positioned supine for optimal chest imaging.

Results: study aimed to identify the mass's nature, distinguish benign from malignant tumors, and assess MRI for detecting intramuscular lipomas.

Impact: study highlights MRI’s role in accurately detecting intramuscular lipomas, allowing targeted imaging to enhance diagnostic precision. It supports faster, non-invasive decision-making, reducing biopsy reliance and aiding effective management of benign lesions for improved patient outcomes.
