Synopsis

Keywords:

Motivation: Combining two contour coils in a mid-field (0.55T) MRI to enhance the (SNR) in MRI images compare to anterior surface coil arrays paired with spine coils.

Goal(s): Dedicated anterior and posterior surface coils at 0.55T is enhancing abdominal MRI image quality compared to anterior coil with spine coil.

Approach: This research utilizes both anterior and posterior contour coils, as well as anterior contour coils combined with spine coils, to compare the SNR in phantom and healthy subjects.

Results:
This research demonstrates that combining anterior and posterior contour coils doubles the SNR in abdominal MRI, enhancing image quality and supporting diagnostic accuracy.

Impact: Using anterior and posterior contour coils improves imaging diagnostic accuracy in medical settings.
