Regional myocardial perfusion reserve determined by quantitative analysis of myocardial perfusion MRI was compared with coronary flow velocity reserve measured by intra-coronary Doppler flow wire in 20 patients with coronary artery disease. MR myocardial perfusion reserve (average 1.74&[plusmn]0.46) analyzed by two-compartment, Patlak plot method showed a good linear correlation with Doppler coronary flow velocity reserve (average 1.95&[plusmn]0.70; R=0.73, p<0.001). Quantitative analysis of stress-rest myocardial perfusion MRI can provide accurate assessment of regional myocardial perfusion reserve in patients with coronary artery disease.
