Imaging myocardial infarction at 3 Tesla compared to 1.5 Tesla allows for a gain of CNR when a PSIR Single Shot TrueFISP sequence is used. The volume and transmural extent of myocardial infarction can be determined with high diagnostic accuary compared to a reference technique at 1.5 Tesla.
