Conversion of the MR signal intensity to Gd-DTPA concentration in contrast-enhanced MR renography

A method for calculating Gd-DTPA concentration from the MR signal intensity (SI) has been implemented for dynamic contrast-enhanced 3D renography. The method is based upon the phantom and in vivo measurements and differs from frequently used method of relative signal change to calculate Gd-DTPA concentration. The proposed method enables one to account for nonlinearity between SI and higher concentrations of gadolinium.
