A Wireless Amplified NMR Detector has been chronically implanted onto the medial surface of a rats kidney to improve the local detection sensitivity. High resolution microstructures of the kidney, such as the glomeruli and renal tubules, have been simultaneously observed in vivo with Manganese-enhanced MRI.
