Biocompatible and water soluble D-glucuronic acid coated ultrasmall GdMnO 3 nanoparticles were synthesized through a straight forward one step route for the first time. In vivo and in vitro images confirmed that, this nanoparticles can be applicable as a potential MRI contrast agent.
