Adiabatic T 1 lower case Greek rho and T 2 lower case Greek rho sequences were tested on a 3 T clinical system for mapping of articular cartilage. Phantom experiments with hyperbolic secant pulses (HS4) revealed excellent accuracy of the sequences and strong dependencies of R 1 lower case Greek rho and R 2 lower case Greek rho on agarose and chondroitin sulfate concentration, which are relevant for cartilage. The findings demonstrate that adiabatic T 1 lower case Greek rho and adiabatic T 2 lower case Greek rho techniques are promising tools for in vivo cartilage imaging at 3T.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
