Motivation: The analysis of left atrial (LA) strain has garnered significant attention as a prognostic tool in various cardiovascular diseases, yet its implications in the context of acute myocarditis remain unexplored.
Goal(s): This study seeks to bridge this gap by evaluating the prognostic potential of LA strain parameters derived from CMR-FT technology in patients suffering from acute myocarditis.
Approach: The left atrial myocardial strain parameters were assessed using FT module and cine imaging were utilized. The study population comprised participants into two groups.
Results: Individuals with a reservoir strain of 25.55% or less were more likely to develop MACEs according to Kaplan-Meier analysis (log-rank P<0.001)
Impact: The reduction in LA reservoir strain has been found the independent predictive value in predicting clinical outcomes of patients with acute myocarditis.
