Synopsis

Keywords: Functional Connectivity, Functional Connectivity

Motivation: The correspondence of neural and fMRI FC is unknown but has seldom been examined due to challenge of simultaneous neuronal imaging during fMRI.

Goal(s): Evaluating the feasibility of optical neuronal imaging during fMRI on FC spatial and temporal patterns.

Approach: By a systemic integration of wide-field optical imaging and fMRI, we compared neuronal voltage signals or calcium signals in functional connectivity (FC) with simultaneous fMRI, EPI or ZTE in mice.

Results: We demonstrated the method feasibility and different detection sensitivity on FC temporal and spatial patterns among modalities.

Impact: Our results demonstrate the feasibility of the seamless integration of fMRI and optical imaging to the era of multi-modality neuroimaging.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
