Keywords: Tumors (Post-Treatment), Metabolism
Motivation: Investigating tumour-specific metabolic and vasculature differences could help with tumour characterization, treatment planning and monitoring response to therapy.
Goal(s): We aim to implement a reliable and sensitive MRI method for detecting the physiological changes across different types of glioma based on quantitative susceptibility map (QSM) acquisition.
Approach: We acquired QSM maps from which Oxygen Extraction Fraction, Vessels Diameter and Vascular Density were extracted and differences among glioma subtypes were investigated.
Results: We observed distinct metabolic and vascular characteristics across glioma subtypes, highlighting the potential of QSM maps to identify subtype-specific vascular features.
Impact: Brain tumour subtype and aggressiveness influence vascular parameters in surrounding tissue, with higher demand observed in more aggressive tumours. This relationship can be captured with quantitative susceptibility maps (QSM) and it can offer valuable insights for tumour diagnosis and characterization.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
