Synopsis

Keywords: fMRI Analysis, Ischemia, Ischemic stroke

Motivation: A growing body of research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of stroke recovery.

Goal(s): This study investigates the changes in local brain activity and their association with motor functions in subacute ischemic stroke after three months.

Approach: Regional homogeneity (ReHo) variability is calculated to reflect the characteristics of brain activity.

Results: The ReHo values changed in some brain regions three months after ischemic stroke.

Impact: The results of our study can objectively identify local brain abnormalities in certain brain regions of patients with ischemic stroke, which might be potential targets for neural reorganization after stroke.
