Motivation: Early assessment of femoral head perfusion is essential, but conventional MRI can't quantify early ischemia. High-resolution phase-contrast quantitative flow (Q-Flow) offers a potential solution for measuring femoral blood flow.
Goal(s): To investigate the clinical utility of high-resolution phase-contrast Q-flow in quantifying blood flow to the femoral head.
Approach: The prospective study assessed the reliability of the Q-flow technique in the healthy volunteers. Additionally, Q-flow data were compared between SLE patients and controls to evaluate its efficacy in detecting blood flow variations.
Results: Its reliability and efficacy were confirmed for the feeding arteries.
Impact: This method is clinically applicable for assessing femoral blood supply
