Synopsis

Keywords: Electromagnetic Tissue Properties, Electromagnetic Tissue Properties

Motivation: All previous methods for MR-based Electric Properties Tomography suffer from some drawback. Improvement is desirable.

Goal(s): To develop an approach for in vivo MR-based Electric Properties Tomography, which performs well in terms of both accuracy and precision.

Approach: The dielectric properties are reconstructed by imposing the validity of Green’s identity to the measured B1+ data, combined with suitable regularization and post-processing.

Results: Good quality reconstructions are obtained working on simulated data, heterogeneous tissue-mimicking phantoms, and in vivo. These promising outcomes suggest that the technique deserves further development.

Impact: Green-EPT is a new approach for MR-based Electric Properties Tomography. Validation tests, including in vivo studies, demonstrate that the approach performs well and is worth pursuing further.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
