Motivation: The canonical leaky-wave antenna (LWA) provides novel alternative for travelling-wave (TW) transmission but suffer from limited longitudinal coverage as well as inhomogeneity due to standing-wave (SW) effect.
Goal(s): Improve LWA design for improved coverage and homogeneity.
Approach: Large beam-angle LWA with high in-plane propagation constant is proposed to achieve continuous wave propagation as well as reduced SW effect.
Results: According to numerical simulations, both longitudinal coverage (~two-fold) and homogeneity in transverse plane (28.7%) are improved with large beam-angle 4CH LWA array on a body phantom.
Impact: The promising results offer valuable insights into the design of future UHF MRI whole-body transmission systems.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
