Keywords: Phantoms, Phantoms
Motivation: Phantoms are essential in MRI for quality control and technique validation, but typically lack the ability to replicate multiple MRI parameters simultaneously.
Goal(s): To investigate substances for adjusting T1, T2 and ADC values to mimic biological tissues.
Approach: Phantoms were prepared using Gd-DTPA, agarose and soy lecithin to adjust T1, T2 and ADC values. The samples were then evaluated for accuracy and stability using relaxometry and DWI.
Results: The designed phantoms showed a good agreement between target and measured values for T1, T2 and ADC.
Impact: The use of Gd-DTPA, agarose, and soy lecithin allows for precise, independent adjustment of T1, T2, and ADC values in phantoms, providing a versatile approach to simulating multiple tissue characteristics in MRI studies.
How to access this content:
For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
