Synopsis

Keywords: Contrast Agents, Liver, Magnetic resonance imaging; Glypican; Gadobenate‑dimeglumine; Nomogram

Motivation: The expression level of Glypican-3 (GPC-3) is closely associated with the malignancy and prognosis of HCC.

Goal(s): To investigate the predictive value of a nomogram based on clinical factors and gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced MRI for predicting the expression of GPC-3 in HCC.

Approach: The preoperative clinical data, gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced MRI features and pathological GPC-3 expression of 185 HCC patients were retrospectively collected.Nomogram model for predicting GPC-3 expression in patients was established.

Results: Significant differences in AFP,intratumoral hemorrhage, and TLR-HBP were found between GPC-3 positive and negative HCC groups. The nomogram model integrating clinical and MRI parameters demonstrated superior predictive performance for GPC-3 expression compared to individual indicators.

Impact: Early noninvasive prediction of GPC-3 expression provides guidance for prognosis assessment and tumor treatment. A nomogram based on clinical and gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced MRI can effectively predict GPC-3 expression in HCC,helping clinicians evaluate prognosis and select appropriate treatments for HCC patients.
