Synopsis

Keywords: Microstructure, Diffusion Analysis and Visualization, Soft tissue tumors

Motivation: Ki-67 expression is a key indicator of malignant tumor proliferation and is closely linked to the prognosis of soft tissue tumors.

Goal(s): This study aimed to assess the correlation between each quantitative parameter of IMPULSED based on time-dependent diffusion MRI (td-dMRI) data parameters and Ki-67 expression.

Approach: Spearman correlation analysis was performed to evaluate the relationship between parameters derived from td-dMRI and Ki-67 levels.

Results: Significant correlations were found between parameters derived from td-dMRI (cellularity, vin, Dex, ADC0Hz, ADC25Hz, ADC40Hz, cADC, and rcADC) and Ki-67, suggesting the potential of td-dMRI as a noninvasive tool for assessing tumor proliferation.

Impact: Time-dependent diffusion MRI provides a noninvasive method for preoperative evaluation of malignant proliferation in soft tissue tumors, offering a promising alternative to traditional diagnostic techniques.
