Synopsis

Keywords: Myocardium, Cardiovascular, Cardiac magnetic resonance

Motivation: Hypertension (HT) has a negative impact on the prognosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).

Goal(s): To evaluate the myocardial strain parameters of HCM patients by Cardiac magnetic resonance feature tracking (CMR-FT), and to explore whether it can be used as a prognostic indicator.

Approach: Strain parameters were obtained by using CVI 42. Cox regression analysis was used to analyze the correlation between strain parameters and adverse cardiovascular events. Survival analysis was performed according to follow-up outcomes.

Results: The strain parameters of HCM with HT group (HCM-HT) were impaired, and the event-free survival rate of HCM-HT was significantly lower than that of HCM without HT.

Impact: The indicators obtained by non-invasive imaging technology are used to evaluate the prognosis of HCM-HT patients, and to formulate reasonable interventions for the early clinical stage, which is of great significance for the treatment and rehabilitation of HCM patients.
