Synopsis

Keywords: Hyperpolarized MR (Non-Gas), Diffusion Acquisition

Motivation: The diffusion-weighted, multi-shot, multi-echo EPI sequence shows promise in reducing geometric distortions, thereby enhancing accuracy in metabolite compartmentalization.

Goal(s): Establish the feasibility of utilizing DWI, multi-shot, multi-echo EPI sequence to differentiate metabolite compartmentalization in mouse brain tissues.

Approach: We quantified the proportion of extracellular species in healthy mouse brain.

Results: Pyruvate is more extracellularly weighted, while lactate shows a greater intracellular weighting in the healthy mouse brain.

Impact: The application of a diffusion-weighted, multi-shot, multi-echo EPI sequence to differentiate metabolite compartmentalization in the brains of healthy mice, indicating the capability of the method to provide deeper insights into cellular metabolic processes and mechanisms of transport.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
