Synopsis

Keywords: Parkinson's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, DTI

Motivation: To explore the potential factors of cognitive decline in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).

Goal(s): Whether glymphatic makers mediate the relationship between sleep distorder/neuroinflammation and cognitive performance in PD patients.

Approach: Statistical methods used partial correlation analysis and mediation analysis.

Results: Glymphatic markers as a significant mediator between sleep disorder/ neuroinflammation between cognitive performanceon on PD participants.

Impact: Our study provided evidence that both sleep disorder and neuroinflammation were associated with glymphatic dysfunction, which is further related to cognitive impairment. These results may provide a theoretical basis for new targets for treating PD.
