Keywords: Uterus, Tumors
Motivation: MRI is difficult to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate cervical cancer (CC) with one acquisition.
Goal(s): To evaluate the efficacy of MAGiC (sy-T2WI; T1, T2 and PD maps) in cervical cancer (CC) for therapeutic selection and prediction on recurrence risk factors (RRF) and short-term treatment efficacy (STE).
Approach: The image quality and tumor staging were assessed by sy-T2WI, and RRF and STE were predicted by the T1, T2, PD map, which compared with hr-T2WI and DWI respectively.
Results: sy-T2WI was similar to hr-T2WI for image quality and tumor staging. The combination of T1 and T2 was superior to ADC for predicting RRF and STE.
Impact: MAGIC is a promising technique for determination on tumor staging, RRF prediction and STE prognosis in CC patients, offering performance equivalent to and even superior to hr-T2WI and DWI. It should be recommended for clinical application.
