Motivation: With metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD)-related conditions attracting increased attention in recent years, identification of fatty deposits in the liver have become extremely important. Two-point Dixon is one method of quantitative assessment of fatty liver.
Goal(s): Quantitative evaluation of fatty liver with chemical shift encoded MRI (CSE-MRI). Our goal was to clarify the effect of the three sequencing methods on the determination of the fat-fraction using two MRI systems, and to demonstrate the advantages of the two point-Dixon methods.
Approach: Six point-Dixon and two point-Dixon sequences was used to scan volunteers and compare the fat-fraction.
Results: The three sequencing methods demonstrated consistency.
Impact: This study demonstrated that different MRI systems and sequences have little impact on the accuracy of fat-fraction measurements. The versatile two-point Dixon has advantages in the initial search for fatty liver patients because it is not limited by MRI systems.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
